“...Here she still welcomes you.” |

The Zoé Vallé Memorial Library is a community library serving Chester and surrounding area. It was a gift to the community from Isabel Vallé Austen of New York, intended as a memorial to her sister, Zoé Vallé Lightfoot. The library still operates, after more than 80 years, supported solely by charitable donations from the people of Chester. The quote above is from the memorial plaque in the library, which states: “This house belonged to Marie Zoé Vallé Lightfoot. Here she still welcomes you.” Come in and find out more. |
